Le club des Monkey accueillera à domicile le 20-21 avril 2024 l’un des plus gros évènements de la saison européenne d’Ultimate, le Spring Tour.
28 équipes sont attendues, soit plus de 500 joueuses et joueurs, réparties dans 2 divisions : Open et Féminine.
Nous accueillerons cet évènement spectaculaire au Complexe Sportif Vieux Melchior / Stade Jean Julien, à Sassenage, Métropole de Grenoble.

The Ultimate Community in Grenoble Area, represented by Monkey Grenoble, is really delighted to welcome you in our beautiful place.

We’re doing our best to have every needs of the players covered on site : diner, lunch, medical, and even campsite and breakfast.

Please find below some pre-information about the event, that may evolve during the next months.

Please note that the event will occur during national holidays, we highly encourage teams to book accommodation and transportation as soon as possible.

The fields

The fields for the tournament are located in Sassenage, a City in the suburb of Grenoble. It is easily accessible using public transports, by bike or by car.

Come with public transports

From the Grenoble train stations, it will take you around 20 minutes to reach the fields, by taking a tramway and a bus.

Transport

getting to Grenoble from anywhere in europe

Grenoble is located in the south east of France, bellow the city of Lyon. For ecological reasons, we highly encourage Ultimate players to come by train to our event.

By train

Grenoble is 1H30 away from Lyon train stations that provide direct trains for many capital cities in Europe: Lyon Part Dieu & Lyon Saint Exupery. There are also direct trains form Paris to Grenoble that take 3H.

By bus

Direct shuttles from the airport and train stations Lyon Saint Exupery allows to get to Grenoble train stations or Grenoble Oxford (direct bus to the fields).
You can book in advance for best prices using Blablabus or Flixbus.

By plane

Closest international airport is Lyon Saint Exupery. Geneva airport is 3 hours drive. You can find some buses also to reach it.

FOOD and snacking

To ensure that all players are full of energy, we will provide on-site:

Breakfast for campers

Sustainable event : to ensure a sustainable way to organize event, the Monkey organization is working on waste reduction : we will ask you to bring your own plates & cutlery.
All snacks will be “home made” and food will be vegetarian.

Price to be defined, 10 to 15€ per night, including breakfast.
Please make sure you’re well equipped with sleeping bags, tents, and mattress, that suits to the weather at the end of April. Temperatures by night can be still cold.

Depending on your preferences, you can book an hotel near the fields, or more in the city center, near the train station. Here are some suggestions.
